Vacation Rentals Description
Our Cabins are hand crafted from sustainable sourced European yellow pine, (a sapling planted for every tree cut) and are carbon neutral. All the trees required for the building of the three Cabins were cut during the winter time from the same part of the forest, and before the birds started to nest. This has also meant that the wood has all dried out at the same time. The cabins are heated with a ground source system which extracts heat from the ground using a ‘ground loop' which supplies the under floor heating. Dwr Y Felin Log Cabins have been sited to take full advantage of the sunlight to heat the solar water heating system. The water in your taps is supplied by a bore hole which extracts water that fell over 300 years ago, ensuring it's purity and quality. We are as naturally environmentally friendly in as many ways as possible, we save energy, we only use 'green' cleaning materials, Ecover and others and Fairtrade products in our Welcome pack. As a matter of course, all lighting used within Dwr Y Felin are low energy light bulbs, but please switch off lights when not in the room. Recycling bags for paper, cans and plastic are provided as is a plastic box for all your glass bottles. The Log Cabins have been designed to allow plenty of room for up to 6 guests, with 3 bedrooms (2 en-suite), 3 bathrooms, 2 lounge areas, kitchen and dining area. There is also the upstairs balcony and downstairs veranda, not forgetting the Hot Tub and Steam Sauna.
